The silicone T-shaped perforated drain (also called silicone Kehr tube) is used for bile drainage during liver surgeries, biliary tract surgeries, and liver transplants. It also helps to drain the bile duct after a cholecystectomy (removal of the gallbladder) or a choledochotomy.
