PVA Otologic Tampon

PVA (polyvinyl acetal) is a dense, fiber-free material that prevents colonization by tissues, thanks to its micro-cellular structure. SALIENT PVA swabs expand upon hydration; they conform to the anatomy of the canal, forming a cylinder that lines the walls. They are used either during consultation in the treatment of external otitis or post-operatively. SALIENT swabs for the external auditory canal deploy gradually as the inflammation subsides and allow the medication to remain in contact with the external auditory canal.
